Mr. Nick Beyak appointed to fill vacancy on Council

At the regular Council Meeting on August 21, 2017 Council appointed Mr. Nick Beyak to fill the vacant Councillor position following the resignation of Darryl Skinner on July 20, 2017. 

After declaring the office of Councillor vacant, Council had 60 days to fill the vacancy either through a by-election or by an appointment and chose the appointment option.

Mayor Wilson stated, “On behalf of Council I am pleased to welcome Mr. Beyak ‎to this shortened term of office. His willingness to serve is much appreciated.”

Mr. Beyak noted, “I would like to sincerely thank Mayor Wilson and Council for giving me the opportunity to once again serve the citizens of Dryden. I look forward to working with the excellent leadership and staff at the City and I know the next fourteen months will be productive.”  

Mr. Beyak will be sworn in and take office early in September to complete the remainder of this term of Council.  The next Municipal Election is in October 2018.
