As your Fire Chief, I want to take a moment to address growing concerns circulating in our community and on social media regarding the risk of wildland fires. While there is currently no immediate threat to our area, weather and environmental conditions are creating an ideal scenario for fires to spread quickly should one ignite.

 

Our fire department remains in close communication with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF), and we are actively monitoring for any wildland fire activity in the municipality and surrounding area to ensure we are ready to respond quickly and effectively if conditions change. Please read the proactive steps to be a part of keeping our community safe.
