Childcare Worker and ECE Appreciation Day Proclamation

WHEREAS years of research confirms the benefits of high-quality childcare for young children’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development and later life outcomes; and

WHEREAS childcare promotes the well-being of children and responds to the needs of parents and the broader community by supporting quality of life so that citizens can fully participate in and contribute to the economic and social life of their community; and

WHEREAS trained and knowledgeable Early Childhood Educators and childcare staff are the key to quality in early learning and childcare programs and champions for children;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Jack Harrison, on behalf of Dryden City Council, do hereby proclaim, October 17, 2023 as the 23rd Annual “Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day” in the City of Dryden in recognition of the education, dedication and commitment of childcare workers to children, their families and the quality of life of the community.
