The City of Dryden is pleased to announce the Ontario Government is investing $1.2 million through the Connecting Links program for the reconstruction of 1.5 kilometers of Highway 594 heading East from Gordon Road.
"On behalf of the City of Dryden, I wish to thank the Ministry of Transportation for the funding to reconstruct a portion of Hwy 594. This section is an important roadway, as it's the final stretch connecting Dryden with the Rainy River District and the U.S.A.," said Mayor Jack Harrison, City of Dryden. "In addition, I would like to thank Minister Rickford for his unwavering support for community projects such as this one."
The City of Dryden Community Services department is also happy to announce the grand re-opening of the waterslide at the Pool & Fitness Centre, and thanks its sponsors (Treasury Metals, Dryden Rotary Club, We Run this City, D.R.E.A.M. Committee) and staff for helping the slide's rehabilitation efforts. The waterslide brought joy to 150 children in its first two days of operation.
