Emergency Preparedness Week
Dryden, Ontario – The City of Dryden is proud to support Emergency Preparedness Week, which takes place from May 7-13, 2023. This national event promotes emergency preparedness and encourages Canadians to take action to protect themselves and their families in case of emergencies or disasters.
Natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, and severe weather events can happen at any time, and being prepared can help you and your family stay safe.
The City of Dryden encourages everyone to take the necessary steps to prepare themselves and their families, including:
1. Creating an emergency kit with essential supplies, such as food, water, medication, and first aid supplies.
2. Developing a family emergency plan that outlines how to communicate, where to meet, and what to do in case of an emergency.
3. Staying informed about potential emergencies in your area by signing up for Voyent Alert! and following local news and social media.
This year's theme for Emergency Preparedness Week is "A Safe, Practiced and Prepared Ontario", which emphasizes the importance of taking action to protect ourselves and our loved ones. By taking steps to prepare for emergencies, we can help prevent injury, reduce damage to property, and ensure a faster recovery.
The City of Dryden will be conducting a Voyent Alert! test alert on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11:30AM.
The City of Dryden is proud to support Emergency Preparedness Week and encourages everyone to take action to protect themselves and their families.
