In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
Teach your children how and when to get help from 9-1-1. Teach children their address and telephone number, and keep it posted by all phones in case they are unsure. Tell your children to answer all of the 9-1-1- operator's questions and stay on the phone until they are told to hang up.
Make sure children understand the dangers of making prank 9-1-1 calls.

Family doctors, nurses, dietitians, mental health therapists, an Anishinaabe Community Liaison, and other specialists make up Dryden Area Family Health Team (DAFHT). These professionals offer a range of services, including:

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) operates a peer support drop-in centre in Dryden for those having mental health struggles. The group is focused on recovery. Crisis Response Services - Kenora Rainy River District |
Crisis Response Services helps people in the Kenora Rainy River District to lessen and resolve emotional distress or disturbances that affect their coping ability. It also helps family members of those with mental health problems. The crisis line, for those that need to talk, is 1-866-888-8988. |
FIREFLY - Children's Mental Health Ontario |
FIREFLY has trained professionals to provide support to families, and treatment to young people facing mental health problems. Services are free. |
