Memorial Arena |
The Dryden Memorial Arena opened its doors to the community on July 9th, 1979 after a devastating fire destroyed Dryden's original arena years earlier. The Memorial Arena, located at 84 Whyte Avenue, has a seating/standing capacity of just over 1,000 people and is home to the Junior 'A' Dryden GM Ice Dogs of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) and the Dryden High School Eagles Boys and Girls Hockey teams. Other user groups include Dryden Minor Hockey Association, Dryden Figure Skating Club, Dryden Oldtimers Hockey League, Dryden Commercial Hockey League, and Dryden Ladies Hockey. In the summer months, the Memorial Arena is used for dry pad rentals, with a capacity of 1,200 people on the floor and 1,350 spectators total. Rentals include the Dryden Walleye Masters, National Indigenous Day, Graduation ceremonies and more! Pronger Arena |
The Pronger Arena is the second arena within the Dryden Recreation Centre. Seating/standing capacity is set at 185 people, while the dry floor capacity is 1,180 people. The Pronger Arena, located at 84 Whyte Avenue, is utilized by Dryden Minor Hockey Association, Dryden Figure Skating Club, Dryden Oldtimers Hockey League, Dryden Commercial Hockey League, and Dryden Ladies Hockey. In addition, the ice surface transforms into a curling rink on Sunday afternoon until Monday morning for the Adult and Senior Curling Leagues. An expansion process is ongoing to provide the Pronger Arena with four (4) new dressing rooms and an upstairs hall that overlooks the ice surface! Pool & Fitness Centre |
The Dryden Pool & Fitness Centre is a multi-purpose facility located in the Dryden Recreation Centre that supports the health and well-being of our community. Our facility includes a 25 metre, 6 lane pool, an accessible therapy pool, steam room, weight room, cardio room, and basketball/squash court. In addition to the men's and women's changerooms, the Pool & Fitness Centre has an inclusive, accessible changeroom, equipped with an adjustable changing table. Rotary Park is located at end of Wice Avenue in North Dryden, across from New Prospect Public School. This outdoor facility is home to three (3) soccer fields, a skatepark, splash pad, washrooms and a building/shelter. Dryden Minor Soccer and Dryden Senior Soccer utilize the fields during the summer months. A big thank you goes out to Minor Soccer and the Rotary Club of Dryden for their tireless efforts in making the building/shelter a reality! Another big thank goes out to the Beyak Automotive Group for their generous donation that provided the community with a new splash pad!
