 Safety Guidelines
Logo for the Safe Travels StampThe Museum is open to visits again, however, the Museum requires visitors to schedule their visits. This can be done by calling the Museum at 807-223-4671 or emailing us.

The Dryden & District Museum has been awarded a #SafeTravels Stamp, which is recognized globally for adopting proper, standardized health and hygiene protocols.

The Museum is following the Northwestern Ontario Health Unit mandate to require masks or face coverings to be worn in enclosed public spaces. This includes visitors touring the Museum. Masks or face coverings must be on before entering the Museum.

  • We will schedule interval arrivals to avoid congestion at the front counter.
  • We remain a cash only facility, but to avoid hand-to-hand contact visitors will use the donation box by the front counter to pay their admission fee.
  • We are asking visitors to continue to practice physical distancing and maintain a 2m (6ft) distance from others while at the Museum.
  • We are also asking visitors to use the hand sanitizer provided by the entrance.

If you begin to experience COVID-19 symptoms please cancel your visit to the Museum.

What are we doing?

  • We have increased our cleaning schedule to sanitize high touch areas frequently.
  • We have removed interactive components in our exhibits and replaced them with a take home activity.
  • We have added one-way directional arrows for visitors to follow.
 Hours of Operation

  • Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please note that the museum closes from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily. The museum is also closed on statutory holidays.
