The Dryden Memorial Arena offers a variety of programs, club and services for all ages. With two arenas and the option of dry or ice surfaces, there are many activities to enjoy.

6-Admissions Passes |
You can buy up a 6-Admissions Pass, which is a stamp card that provides you with six admissions to Pay and Play, 50+ Skate and 50+ Pay and Play.
Please note that a 6-Admissions Pass gives you one free admission! It does not expire and may be shared.

Public Skate |
From October to March, join us for Public Skate every Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Arena 2. The Public Skate activity invites skaters of all ages and skill levels to enjoy some ice time at Dryden Memorial Arena. Please note that Public Skate may be cancelled when there is a special event scheduled.

Arena Walking |
An easy way to stay active is by joining one of our free Arena Walking programs. Recreation walking routes were designed under the Communities in Action Fund and the Dryden Walks Around the World Project, 12 walking routes were designed, starting and ending at the Dryden Recreation Complex.
Along these routes there are signs posted to assist with course-plotting throughout the community. The program has beginner, moderate and advanced routes. In 2007, Dryden collectively walked the circumference of the planet - 40,075 km!
Our Indoor Arena Walking program runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note that Indoor Arena Walking may be cancelled for special events.

Pay and Play |
Come and play hockey for an hour during our Pay and Play programs. This program is for anyone over the age of 14 and happens on designated days.

Tiny Tots Skating |
Our free Tiny Tots Skating program offers kids (6 years old and younger) basic skating lessons they can do with their parents or guardians. This program is great for small children who are just learning to skate.
Join us for Tiny Tots Skating from September to March on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

50+ Skate |
The 50+ Skate program at Dryden Memorial Arena offers older adults a chance to come and enjoy some skating time. This program is only open to adults 50 years old and older.
Offered at Arena 1, the 50+ Skate program runs September to March on Monday and Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Our 50+ Pay and Play program offers older adults a chance to play some hockey! This program is only open to adults who are 50 years old or older.

Dryden Hockey School |
Take your game to the next level on and off the ice! Dryden Hockey School is a one-week clinic that builds and improves basic and advanced hockey skills with local instructors Randy Allen, Bill Brunton and many more. This program is certified and recognized by Hockey Northwestern Ontario.
Program options include:
- Rookie Camp
- Intermediate and Senior Skills Camp
- Pro-Camp

Coaches
Randy Allen: With a 30-year history of coaching hockey, from IP to Junior A, Randy is actively involved in hockey locally as well as abroad. Hockey Canada Coach Clinic Instructor and Hockey Canada Mentorship programs gave Randy the opportunity to study and train in Finland. He is also a High Performance One certified coach.
Bill Brunton: Bill has an extensive 20-year history of coaching PeeWee, Atom, and Minor Hockey in the region, as well as assisting coach for the Hockey Canada Girls Development program with national coaching certification. Bill helped coach the AAA Midget Thistles (Kenora), in 2014/2015, and is a High Performance One certified coach.

Tennis Dryden |
Tennis Dryden is a group of volunteers working toward establishing new tennis courts in Dryden and
advancing the great game of tennis in Dryden. Tennis Dryden is looking for more interested volunteers to join in this worthwhile venture!
Tennis is a fun, easy, inexpensive game, for everyone, all ages; a game that can be played one's entire life. It is low-impact, no-contact and low-risk for injury. Tennis Dryden is promoting Tennis through "try, learn, play and compete" opportunities and events.
Tennis Thursdays |
Tennis Thursdays provide a year-round opportunity for participants to try and learn Progressive
Tennis throughout spring, summer and fall at Milestone Rink (168 Morison Avenue) and at New Prospect School during the winter.
Hours are 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and anyone is welcome, all equipment is supplied and people can try, learn and play - all for free!

Leagues and competitions |
Dryden tennis players have had the opportunity to compete in the Kenora-Patricia Tennis Throw Down
in Kenora. This is a fun, two-day, tournament co-run by Tennis Dryden and Kenora Tennis. The competition includes an open day and a 55+ day, each with Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Youth Singles.
Tennis Dryden is also establishing a club with memberships, and while waiting for new tennis courts to
be built, Tennis Dryden continues to play at Milestone Rink. Tennis Dryden is working with:
