Tennis Dryden

Tennis Dryden is a group of volunteers working toward establishing new tennis courts in Dryden and

advancing the great game of tennis in Dryden. Tennis Dryden is looking for more interested volunteers to join in this worthwhile venture!

Tennis is a fun, easy, inexpensive game, for everyone, all ages; a game that can be played one's entire life. It is low-impact, no-contact and low-risk for injury. Tennis Dryden is promoting Tennis through "try, learn, play and compete" opportunities and events.

Tennis Thursdays

Tennis Thursdays provide a year-round opportunity for participants to try and learn Progressive

Tennis throughout spring, summer and fall at Milestone Rink (168 Morison Avenue) and at New Prospect School during the winter.

Hours are 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and anyone is welcome, all equipment is supplied and people can try, learn and play - all for free!

Leagues and competitions

Dryden tennis players have had the opportunity to compete in the Kenora-Patricia Tennis Throw Down

in Kenora. This is a fun, two-day, tournament co-run by Tennis Dryden and Kenora Tennis. The competition includes an open day and a 55+ day, each with Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Youth Singles.

Tennis Dryden is also establishing a club with memberships, and while waiting for new tennis courts to

be built, Tennis Dryden continues to play at Milestone Rink. Tennis Dryden is working with:

  • Rotary Club of Dryden
  • City of Dryden
  • Dryden Community Services Department
  • Keewatin Patricia District School Board
  • Northwestern Health Unit
  • Neighbourhood Legacy
  • Dryden Kiwanis
  • Ontario Tennis Association

The challenge of building new tennis courts is being pursued and is underway!

Tennis Dryden is a member of the Ontario Tennis Association.

If you have questions about new tennis courts, want to volunteer, want to be a Tennis Dryden member, would like to make a donation, or would like to try, learn or play tennis, please contact us by email.
