The City of Dryden is home to five lakes for you to explore. The greater region of Northwestern Ontario has more than 70,000 lakes.

Thunder Lake |
Thunder Lake is the home of Aaron Provincial Park. The lake also has a public boat launch, beach, and is a great spot for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, mountain biking, hiking and wildlife watching. Some fish species you can find include smallmouth bass, walleye, lake trout, northern pike, perch, whitefish and cisco. |
Ghost Lake/Mavis Lake |
Ghost Lake and nearby Mavis Lake are great places to enjoy beach space, go canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing. You can also use its boat launch area, and even get the chance to see up to 200 common loons in their staging habitat. The nearby trails also are a great spot to bird watch and see unique northern wildlife across a wide range of habitats. The Dryden Ghost Riders Mountain Bike Club's Facebook page use the trails often and are a great source of information for biking, snowshoeing, skiing and hiking activities. Wabigoon Lake |
Wabigoon Lake makes up a large part of Ojibway traditional territory, and is home to the Wabigoon Lake First Nation. For more information, you can view a map of the area through Angler's Atlas Wabigoon Lake map. You can also check out the fishing camps Merkel's Camp, Davis' Bonny Bay Camp and Indian Point Camp, which are all located on Wabigoon Lake. |
Dinorwic Lake |
At Dinorwic Lake, you can find a large variety of fish, including walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass, crappie and yellow perch. The lake is often ranked first in its class for muskie and walleye fishing. You can also enjoy Pine Sunset Lodge while there. |
Eagle Lake |
Eagle Lake is home to beautiful sunrises and sunsets, world-class fishing and lots of wildlife, such as eagles, loons, black bears, otters, beavers, whitetail deer, moose, owls, wolves and many bird species.
