The Library has two services that you can use to checkout books, magazines, and audiobooks online!

Libby & Overdrive

The library reading app! You can read books and magazines or listen to audiobooks through the Libby app or the Overdrive website. There are thousands of titles to choose from, all you need is your library card number!

Borrow and enjoy audiobooks, eBooks, comics, movies, TV, magazines, or music everywhere you have a screen-your computer, your phone, your car, even your TV. All you need is a library card. Hoopla syncs across all your devices, so you can stream titles immediately or whenever you're in the mood. Most titles can also be downloaded to your phone or tablet. Hoopla offers more content, in more places, than any other digital library platform and it's all FREE thanks to your public library!

The Dryden Public Library through the support of the Dryden Rotary Charitable Foundation is pleased to bring you an ad-free experience that can be enjoyed on your TV, mobile phone, tablets and online. Watch through the app or online.

Virtual Author Talks

Virtual author talks you can watch anywhere! You can register to watch live and submit questions to the authors or watch recordings of past talks. This resource was made possible through the support of the Friends of the Dryden Public Library.

EBSCO & NoveList

EBSCOhost provides access to ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, encyclopedias, journals, and magazines. 

NoveList has librarian-created read-alike suggestions to help you find your next great read. Search from home. Link to the library’s catalog. Then borrow and read.

PebbleGo

PebbleGo is a K–5+ digital learning platform that gives educators the resources to help every student grow their literacy skills while building essential science and social studies knowledge.

With developmentally appropriate texts in English and Spanish, read-aloud audio, rich vocabulary support, and multimodal creation and learning tools, PebbleGo empowers every student to read, learn, explore, and create independently.

Geneaology & Local History

The Library subscribes to two databases for genealogy and local history.

To access the full range of both resources you must be in the Library.

Dryden Observer Archives

Extra! Extra! Read all the headlines from Dryden's history through the Dryden Observer Archives. From home you can only view editions that are out of copyright (1934 and older). All editions are available for viewing in the Library and the Museum!

Ancestry

Ancestry lets you find your ancestors! Through this eResource you have access to thousands of genealogical records. It can only be accessed from inside the Library however, so stop in to take a look!
