Construction and Service Disruption Notice - Highway 17 April 29

Please be advised, watermain repairs will be taking place in the westbound lane on Highway 17 (Government St) between Cecil Ave and Florence St on Wednesday April 29, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As a result, the highway will remain open to both lanes of traffic, with the westbound traffic utilizing the center turning lane around the construction area. Please use extra caution within the construction zone.  To ensure the construction zone remains safe, please anticipate temporary delays and construction workers. 

Within this time, residents in the area may not have drinking water available. Although work is expected to be completed in a timely manner, we recommend storing a short-term water supply in advance to ensure availability during the shut-off.
