Community Safety Zones and Reduced Speed Limits Increase School Safety
🚸 Big steps for school safety in Dryden!
New Community Safety Zones are now in place on Wice Road near New Prospect School and Rotary Park and on Highway 601 from Hwy 17 to Ryczko Road for École catholique de l'Enfant-Jésus. While speed limits remain the same for these areas, fines for speeding are doubled within the zone boundaries.
To increase pedestrian safety near the Dryden High School, Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre, and KDSB's Early Learning and Child Care Centre, the speed limit is now lowered to 40 km/h on Casimir Ave. (from Duke St. to Arthur St.) and on Albert St. (from Kirkpatrick Ave. to Casimir Ave.)
