TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Corporation of the City of Dryden passed By-law 2026-12 to amend Zoning By-law 2025-10, as amended, on the 23rd day of March, 2026, under Section 39 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c. P.13, as amended. Under Section 39 of the Planning Act, the Council of a local municipality may, through a by-law, authorize the temporary use of land, buildings, or structures for any purpose set out therein that is otherwise prohibited by the Zoning By-law.

Explanatory Note of By-law:

By-law 2026-12 amends Zoning By-law 2025-10 and applies to those lands known municipally as 6 King Street legally described as PLAN M227 PT LOT 14 DES KR;1253 PARTS 1 TO 4 PCL 14878; City of Dryden, District of Kenora. The proposed Temporary Use By-law is to seek approval of a Temporary Use amendment of the Zoning By-law under Section 39 of the Planning Act to permit a small-scale commercial use on the ground floor of the existing dwelling. The property is zoned Downtown Commercial (CD) and currently contains a legal non-conforming residential use. The Temporary Use By-law would permit the ground-floor commercial use for a period of up to three (3) years.
