Notice of Public Hearing for a Concent Application

TAKE NOTICE that the Committee of Adjustment of the Corporation of the City of Dryden will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of giving the public an opportunity to submit comments and make representations in respect of the Consent application. A Public Hearing will be held for the Consent application in accordance with the requirements of Section 53 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c P.13, as amended. Please note that the Public Hearing will be held virtually. Alternative methods to provide comments and participate in the Public Hearing are included in the attached PDF. 

THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON THE 12TH DAY OF MARCH 2026, AT 11:00 A.M. VIA A VIRTUAL HEARING THROUGH MICROSOFT TEAMS. PLEASE CONTACT THE UNDERSIGNED FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ATTEND.

THE SUBJECT PROPERTIES ARE LOCATED AT 559 AND 569 GOVERNMENT ST AND ARE LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS VAN HORNE CON 6 PT S 1/2 LOT;2 23R4581 PTS 1 AND 2 PCL;32208 37042; CON 6 PT LOT 2 DES PT 1 ON; PLAN KR 148 PCL 22523.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the application is to seek consent pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act to merge two (2) abutting parcels of land, municipally known as 559 and 569 Government Street, into one (1) consolidated lot. The proposed consolidation will result in the creation of a single development parcel to facilitate unified commercial development on the subject lands.
