Notice of Public Meeting - Temporary Use Zoning By-law Amendment

TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the requirements of Section 39 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended and Ontario Regulation 545/06 as amended by Ontario Regulation 470/09, the Corporation of the City of Dryden advises that an application for a Temporary Use By-law has been received and was deemed to be a complete application pursuant to the Planning Act.

AND FURTHER, TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Dryden will hold a Public Meeting for the purpose of giving the public an opportunity to make representations in respect of the proposed Temporary Use By-Law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P 13, as amended.

The meeting will be held in-person in the Council Chambers and virtually through Microsoft Teams by the Corporation of the City of Dryden Council on Monday, November 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. 

THE LOCATION of the lands affected by the proposed amendment are municipally known as 99 Shelley Lane and legally described PLAN M335 PT LOT 4 PART 9 TO;10 & 16 KR60 PART 17 KR233; PART 1 & 10 TO 11 KR 266 REM;PCL 29866. The subject property is shown on the key map included with this Notice. The property is zoned Rural Residential (RR).

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT is to seek approval of a Temporary Use amendment of the Zoning By-law under Section 39 of the Planning Act to permit two (2) recreational vehicle homes on the property as temporary housing while the applicant prepares to construct a permanent single detached dwelling. The Temporary Use By-law would permit the recreational vehicle homes for a period of up to one (1) year.
