Wastewater Infrastructure Upgrade Notice

The City of Dryden is proud to provide essential utility services to residents, businesses, and visitors, ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable services for our community. To continue delivering these vital municipal services, key upgrades will be occurring to our Wastewater Collection and Treatment System.
Please be advised the City will be undertaking crucial infrastructure maintenance. As this work involves our wastewater systems, there is a potential for untreated discharge to the receiving environment. Please be assured that our team has contingency plans in place to prevent any bypasses. However, as required by Federal Regulations, we are formally notifying the public and downstream communities of this potential risk.

The City has two planned wastewater upgrade projects that hold this potential:
1. Ross Street and Lakeside Drive Lift Station Upgrades – To be scheduled between
July and September of 2026
2. Waste Water Treatment Plant Electrical Upgrade – To be scheduled between
November and December of 2026

Additional notifications will be sent to affected areas once project timelines are set. The City will adhere to all required Provincial and Federal conditions associated with these projects. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Bill Mundy C.E.T., Utilities and Environmental Services Manager at bmundy@dryden.ca or 807-223-2367.
