Sign Permits

You must obtain a Sign permit before you install any sign, other than those signs with specific exceptions in the by-law, such as public information, no trespassing, real estate, construction project and election signs. This does not apply to maintenance or repairs made to an existing sign provided that you use identical materials to the component being maintained or repaired.

The sign by-law specifies sign requirements, such as size and type for various zone locations, and minimum distances from property lines and street intersections.
