Weather Monitoring

Weather at the Dryden Airport is generally monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by an onsite Automatic Weather Observation System (AWOS) administering current weather reports at the top of each hour or anytime there is a significant change in weather conditions.  The Airport also provides runway surface condition reporting in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations administering a surface condition report at the start of published hours then an update every 8 hours or each time there is a significant change in conditions.  Runway surface condition reports are terminated at the end of our published hours, to obtain an after hours report please contact the Airport Manager at (807) 323-1954 (Call out charges apply).  Reports from our AWOS and runway surface conditions can be found by following this link, then searching CYHD.

The Dryden Regional Airport's weather monitoring and reporting is provided by Environment Canada and NAV Canada.
