About Tax Sales

If municipal property taxes are unpaid for a period of time, the Municipal Tax Sales Act provides for the sale of a property.

Tax Sale Process:

  • Before the tax sale occurs, the property owner is given a period of time to pay their property taxes.
    • If they do not pay within the specified time period, then the City of Dryden initiates a tax sale on the property. This applies to all classes of property within the City of Dryden limits.
  • When properties are posted here, tenders are invited for the purchase of the lands described below and will be received until the specified time.
  • Tenders will then be opened in public on the same day as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. at the City of Dryden, City Hall, 30 Van Horne Avenue, Dryden.
