Q3 2025 OPP Detachment Commander's Report
On October 28, 2021 the Ontario Civilian Police Commission approved the City of Dryden’s application to disband the Dryden Police Service. Dryden transitioned to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as of 12 noon on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Business hours of the Dryden OPP Detachment are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For after-hours police matters, please call the OPP Communications Centre at 1-888-310-1122 (toll free in Ontario). For after-hours administrative purposes, please call the detachment office at (807-937-5577) and leave a message.
During business hours, please call the Dryden OPP Detachment at 807-937-5577 for information related to administrative issues (collision reports, incident reports, volunteer fingerprints, Freedom of Information requests).
The Dryden Police Services Board existed under the Police Services Act, 1990 which was replaced by the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 on April 1, 2024. The local Police Board is now the Dryden OPP Detachment Board 1.
